At their modern 65,000 sq. ft. factory in Bergvik, Sweden, the company employs about thirty people developing, manufacturing and selling technical floors and seismic bracing frames. The company’s engineering department supplies custom CAD drawings suited to each customer’s needs.
Bergvik is committed to future product development. Experts in the firm test their products to ensure full compliance with standards, such as the new European floor system standard – just one example of how they are working today to meet tomorrow’s demands.
The company’s customers span from global companies such as Ericsson, Skanska, Volvo, ABB, Stora Enso, Pharmacia Upjohn, a subsidiary of Pfizer, to local Scandinavian power utilities and building companies.
The company has done installations of Isor Floors in Mozambique, Lesotho, Swaziland, Botswana, Uganda and Kenya.
Experts in the company also noted that in the future, a lot of containerized solutions will be developed for rural parts of Africa where there is a need for technology but the experience and resources is not up to standard to have a large facility.
