Datsan Elektrik Co Ltd was established in 1992 and started its activities supplying medium voltage electrical equipment. Datsan participated in dozens of contracts which were awarded by the Turkish Electricity distribution company. They have completed projects worth over $20,000,000 since then.
In 1997, Datsan founded a substation and transformer maintenance and repair workshop and started manufacturing in the last quarter of 2005 at its new factory. Over the years in maintenance and repair business, they have acquired extensive experience on each brand of transformer, both the negative aspects as well as positive. It is this experience they use for all the products they design and manufacture. They develop their IT infrastructure everyday to sync with the global transformer market.
They can manufacture “A Class” distribution transformers with low losses at a customer’s request. They can also manufacture the DATSAN brand according to the latest revision of IEC standard and TEDAS (Turkiye Electricity Distribution Company) April 2013.
They also have CSP (Completely Self Protected) transformers which are generally made by single phase. Their CSP transformers can be manufactured pole or pad mounted, with a conservation tank or hermetically sealed type. CSP (Completely Self Protected) transformers have the following advantages:
· A low voltage breaker protects the transformer from overload and in emergency.
· A surge arrester which protects against surge and eliminates outage.
· An overload signal lamp which indicates overload situations.
· An internal HV side fuse which protects the device from high current or short circuit.
Transmission line needs only one phase (It needs 3 lines for 3 phase transformers),
Transmission line needs smaller electrical pole (It carries only one line).
They have a presence in the African market with their products in Sudan and Nigeria. They are looking to expand their sales network in the continent through distributors in all the African countries.
