Energy International Corporation has been supplying the Middle East and North Africa with HVAC and electro-mechanical products and services since its inception in 1979. Currently, the company, with World Headquarters in Canton, MI, USA operates out of 11 regional offices located throughout the Middle East.
According to ENERGY INTERNATIONAL CORPORATION Communications Coordinator JOHN PETER, the company was founded initially to serve the Middle East. The founder, Dr. Nassib (Ned) Fawaz, was the regional sales representative for York Air Conditioning at the time and launched Energy International Corporation to meet the need for quality construction materials in the GCC market.
Today, EIC represents a number of leading global manufacturers in the HVAC and electro-mechanical industries including Penn Ventilation, manufacturer of PennBarry industrial and commercial fans, Metal Industries, manufacturer of MetalAire Air Terminals and Jay R Smith, manufacturer of industrial plumbing and drains. These are just a few of the many companies represented in the GCC region.
EIC has ventured into the African market in the past, quoting on a number of projects in Egypt and Nigeria. They recently supplied PennBarry industrial fans, and MetalAire louvers and Fire/Smoke dampers to the construction of the large power plant in Al Ain Al Sokhna, Egypt and supplied Mars Air air curtains and PennBarry fans to the construction of a trucking warehouse in Nigeria.
The company had instituted a business plan to broaden its African reach into Algeria, Tunisia and Libya but that plan had to be put on hold due to the political unrest that took over the region.
EIC’s products are perfectly-suited for the African market. Many of the products they supply are integral to the construction of air management and climate control systems. Contractors the world over are looking for high-quality products for their construction projects. EIC has more than 36 years of experience in providing these products to a long list of satisfied customers.
As a representative company, EIC is not a manufacturer (though they are licensed to manufacture Penn and MetalAire products in the UAE). They work with contractors who provide schedules, BOQs and technical specifications. The EIC engineering sales staff uses this data to source the proper equipment and provide a quote.
Energy International has contributed to the construction of many major projects in the GCC region including power plants, large commercial and residential installations, hospitals, international airports and hotels.
EIC is a single source supplier for HVAC and electro-mechanical products. The experienced engineering staff will work with contractors to source the right products to meet their specifications. EIC’s Logistics Department will handle all the details of ordering the product and getting it shipped to the work site.
