Gatekeeper is an American advanced technology company dedicated to the development and worldwide deployment of security systems that allow the underside of vehicles of all descriptions to be automatically searched and drivers and passengers to be screened from a safe distance.

Gatekeeper’s automatic under vehicle inspection systems (AUVIS) are designed to provide the first line of defense against foreign and domestic threats no matter the means of ground travel (i.e., cars, trucks, trains, etc.). Each AUVIS integrates with other entry control point technologies (vehicle XRAY technologies, for example) providing a comprehensive access control point system.

Their philosophy is that security should not hinder the flow of commerce or the quality of life. Rather, both should be enhanced through the use of non-intrusive, artificial intelligence-based physical security systems.

Gatekeeper provides its security products and services to many sectors including:

Department of Defense
Federal and Local Government
Air and Sea Ports
Oil Refineries
Chemical Plants
Commercial and Private Premises
Water Reservoirs
Hydro and Nuclear Power Plants
Railroad Companies
They are actively in combating global terror through its development and worldwide deployment of security systems that allow vehicles to be automatically searched and drivers and passengers to be screened from a safe distance. Their products are found in the African Union HQ Addis Ababa-Ethiopia, Abuja and Lagos in Nigeria and in Kenya. They are currently pursuing strong partners from Africa with experience in the security arena where they have completed large projects.

Christopher A. Millar, the CEO of the Gatekeeper Security advices potential buyer to test any system by doing a side by side test with Gatekeeper. Many manufactures either directly or indirectly through their agents, misrepresent what their systems can do and the first time the purchaser realizes it is after they have paid for the systems and had them installed.

Mr. Millar also commented on the emerging trends as security is concerned that in this modern time end users prefer systems that actually perform and assist the operator/removes human factors of ability to concentrate for long periods of time and knowing what vehicle undercarriages should look like. The next factor is what Gatekeeper has lead the field in and that is having the scanning and license plate reading systems integrate into large security platforms offering a central server, redundancy and integration with other access control technologies (XRAY systems), database access etc.

They have participated in several exhibitions in the Middle East – INTERSEC (Dubai), ISNR (Abu Dhabi), security shows in Saudi Arabia. They also participate in various US and Mexico shows as well.
