GSE Environmental is a global manufacturer and marketer of geosynthetic lining solutions, products and services used in the containment and management of solids, liquids, and gases for organizations engaged in waste management, mining, water, wastewater, and aquaculture.
The company was founded in 1972, and has been manufacturing quality geosynthetic lining systems and developing innovative products. Their principal products are polyethylene based geomembranes, geonets, geocomposites, geosynthetic clay liners, concrete protection liners and vertical barriers.
They also manufactures products primarily to line or cap hazardous and non-hazardous waste landfills; contain materials generated in certain mining processes; and contain water, liquid waste and industrial products in ponds, tanks, reservoirs, sewers, and canals.
Their laboratories are accredited by the Geosynthetic Accreditation Institute – Lab Accreditation Program (GAI-LAP). They provide high quality and reliable geosynthetic products in the industry. The prowess of their prefabricated polyethylene products and components Engineering Support Staff offer support to their clients for their project requirements.
Their products are manufactured from the finest raw materials and highest quality resins and backed by an extensive manufacturing quality assurance program. Their product testing are performed at their own GAI-LAP accredited laboratories, and they are certified by ISO, BAM, CE, Asqual, and KIWA. Their products are able to perform continuously in the harsh African environment, exposed to high ultra violet levels mostly installed in remote locations. Their technical experts are ready to assist project engineers with all their design challenges.
GSE was involved in a 4.5million m2 Husab Uranium Project in Namibia. Their white light reflecting LLDPE geomembrane was used with a UV resistant and light reflective surface layer which minimizes the required amount of slack and allows wrinkles to be smaller and easier to manage, the temperature fluctuations are lessened which in turn acts to maintain a stable moisture gradient below the liner.
Robin Vodenlic, Marketing Manager, advises potential buyer to focus on the project requirements and performance tests to develop a design utilizing the parameters obtained. Opt for a supplier with relevant operational experience in the African business and construction environment, who will work as a team to achieve the desired result. Conduct due diligence on both the manufacturer and installer of any geosynthetic materials required.
