The company started its operations in 1968, founded by Mr. N.S. SACHANIA as a roofing and flooring subcontract company, in the name of Kenya roofing and building contractors. Over the years it carried out numerous jobs of roofing and flooring subcontract works.
The company became a limited liability company called Kenya Roofing Contractors Ltd. Carrying on with the same line of business, purchasing their products from companies both local and overseas. In 1988, the Directors formed Kenbro industries Ltd. and decided to go into manufacturing their own roofing products, namely, PVC floor tiles and Mastic Asphalt, their two majorly used products.
Subsequently other products were added to the list of their manufactured items: adhesives for the building industry, concrete paving blocks, cement interlocking tiles, wooden parquets, bitumen primers and paints. Over the years they have gained vast experienced in the waterproofing field, and today they can safely say that there are no structures they cannot waterproof.
With the advent of modern technologies, their products have far better qualities with most of them carrying a 10 year guarantee. As new and better products get introduced in the field of waterproofing and flooring the company keeps abreast with them. Their latest additions are the Epoxy Resin Flooring and Kencoat-Coloured wall plaster.
As a company policy, their other product ranges are also well tested, both during and after production to ensure perfect colour consistency and durability is achieved.

Kenbro collaborates with and represents a number of international companies that deal in construction chemicals, admixtures, roofing products, domestic and industrial-specific products like EPOXY, Urete etc, key among them BASF (traditionally known as MBT-Master Building Technologies), COLAS EA Limited, POLY Floor, Insumat-Bitumut etc.
Kenbro sell their products across the East African region and are looking for distribution partners in the region, especially in Uganda and Tanzania.
