The Association of civil Engineering of Madrid conceded in its ceremony of its annual awards 2015, held last November, the secondary award for the best international work to the project  Line 1 Subway project in Panama sponsored by the Subway Department of Panama (SMP) and developed by FCC, in collaboration with Alsina Panama, which supplied its formwork equipment and engineering solutions for the construction of the elevated stations.

Thus, the Association of Civil Engineers wanted to highlight this ambitious engineering project that benefits more than a million people and was built in record time: less than three years. Vicente Mohedano, CEO of FCC Construction, received the award and stated that engineering is at the service of society, and that this work has substantially improved the lives of Panamanian citizens, for travel between the new line’s two end stations is performed in just 23 minutes.

The granting of this award exemplifies the efficiency and reliability of Alsina as a partner in major international projects, acknowledging its engineering solutions and formwork systems once again.
