Hidden in the heart of the beautiful Conwy Valley of Wales in the United Kingdom is the 60 year old 160,000 square feet of the Mark Water Pump Factory. The factory was the home of Quinton Hazell for 58 of those sixty years, manufacturing parts for all sectors of the Auto Parts industry. Two years ago Quinton Hazell went into administration and the water pumps sector was bought out by Mark Water Pumps an Indian company.

David Lewis, the now CEO, previously Plant Manager, at the factory was recruited with the task of recruiting fifteen of the key staff from those that had been made redundant. Once this was completed his need was to re-engage with previous OEM customers and Aston Martin, Land Rover, Nissan and Volvo all agreed and are now supplied from the factory.

The factory was bought intact with all the original plant and was operational within a month producing quality OEM water pumps. The next challenge was to enter the after-market for water pumps and create a OE quality branded product.

Their line of quality pumps is made up of 500 part numbers with a large number of new and older lines in their stock listing. They appeared in Automechanica in Frankfurt in October 2014 from which they have had a great response from buyers and their Pro Flow product is now rolling out to distributers.

The company is now tooled up to increase their production by over 200% and they are actively looking to enter new markets with quality pumps which are manufactured from foundry casting to polished and quality checked finish.

According to Mark Water Pumps‘s marketing manager currently their products are available in African countries and they have supplied their product to Quinton Hazell and Britpart who both sell in Africa. In the process to expand for their product availability in Africa they are looking for more agents and distributors across Africa.
