Over 300,000 of their ComPac® I and ComPac II air conditioners and environmental control units are keeping telecom sites up and running throughout the world in climates ranging from the deserts of Africa to the Alaskan tundra. The ComPac II air conditioner with a factory installed economizer dramatically reduces maintenance and service by using outside air, when suitable, to cool the shelter. Their CommStat 3 thermostat controller provides redundant unit control, the lead/lag function and various alarm relays in an extremely affordable package.
Their newest models for use in telecommunications sites employ DC air movers to provide ventilation in the event of a loss of utility power and an economizer for free cooling. The CoolLinks™ controller provides on board Ethernet connectivity; native support for SNMP v2C traps and messages; and built-in web page for remote configuration, control and monitoring.
Industrial Climate Engineering is a newly formed division of Airxcel, Inc. with a purpose to provide industrial and specialty vertical, packaged air conditioners from 1.7 kW (6,000 BTUH) to 105 kW (360,000 BTUH’s). The product line is available with a number of factory installed options including corrosion protection packages, stainless steel cabinets, economizers, extreme low ambient operation, operation in Class I, Division II environments and building pressurization systems.
The RV Products division of Airxcel manufactures the Coleman®-Mach® rooftop air conditioner and builds over 100,000 units annually.
