G.E ATHANASSIOU $ SON Co, with trade Rita Transformers, the mother company of the Rita Group was founded in 1947 by Eleftherios G. Athanassiou, an Electrical Engineer in Piraeus. At 60 year old, the company has an experience and 3rd generation of Dipl. Engineers in management thus assuring production of excellent quality, high standards and high support of the imported products.

The company is certified according to ISO 9001:2000; they attend and participate in the International Committee IEC TC ’96, which issues the international standards for transformers. They enlarge and synchronize their substructure and facilities and are always in search for new constructions and imports to keep up with market’s demands.

Rita Group consists of leading companies in the fields of Electric transformers, energy and consulting on Quality Assurance, Environment and power saving.  The company manufactures dry type transformers and autotransformers, rectifiers, battery charges, power supplies, stabilizers and testing consoles.

In the construction they use the following:

·Cores from top quality low losses magnetic sheets, insulated on both sides acc. EN 10106/96

·Insulating sheets of thermic class ‘F’ or ‘H’

·Ecological varnish class ‘F’ for absolute environmental protection.

·Dyeing of all metal parts with the above varnish.

·The connection of the terminals are: optionally, after clients demand the transformers can have  electrostatic shield and/or can be built in metal box of protection class IP23 and colour RAL 7032.
