Roofeco System S.L. is a family business whose seeds were first sown in 1996 in Costa Rica.
The company was established in response to the problems of a multinational corporation who did not know what to do with the bags used to cover the bunches of the bananas on their plantations.
From that year on, that waste stopped polluting rivers and farmlands and instead turned into decorative roofs thanks to the production of composite roof tiles made of recycled plastic.
For example, producing 20 square meters of plastic roof tiles cleans 1 hectare of banana plantation.
Thereby, their ecological footprint is the reuse of this waste which otherwise would pollute the environment.
RoofEco composite roof tiles are a modular roofing system which replaces the traditional clay and ceramic tiles but with an improved performance.
The improved performance means their synthetic roof tiles are:
- Lighter (6.5 kg / m2) and 100% waterproof
- Very strong (5 mm thickness)
- Safely fixed to the structure thanks to a patented anchor system (no visible screws and therefore no leaks)
- Non fading and without need of maintenance
At RoofEco, they don’t only offer the roof tile panels but they also offer all kinds of accessories such as ridge and lateral closures; in order to make up the whole roof.
The lightweight roof tiles, which cover approx. 0.5 m2, can be easily and quickly installed thanks to the innovative anchor system and look-a-like traditional clay tile roof.
Currently, their synthetic Spanish roof tiles are made in Spain and distributed all over the world, mainly in Europe, Central America, South America and the United States.
Their roof covering materials take advantage of the experience gained in America since 1996 in order to offer an added value to their clients.
To obtain these plastic roof tile panels, the engineers of Roofeco developed in a RD&i programme several innovations such as no visible screws (patented anchor system) and no need of mortar for installation.
Furthermore, their lightweight roof tiles include nano-technology which make the material more resistant to UV degradation, lessening thermal transmission and noise.
Thanks to these properties, their plastic roofing tiles come with a 20 years guarantee, although their lifespan can be superior to 50 years.
Their suppliers comply with European quality norms, thanks to which they can offer their clients top quality for their poly carbonate Spanish tile roof panel.
