Salama Road Marking Factory is a road marking paint manufacturing company founded in the year 2014 in the State of Qatar, working collaboratively to find sustainable, innovative, market-driven solutions for traffic safety on roads around the globe.
The company was founded mainly, to provide traffic markings that make roads, pedestrian areas, airports safer for everyone. With a state of the art manufacturing and laboratory facility, Salama Road Marking Factory is able to develop advanced technology materials that lead the traffic safety in terms of performance, reliability, and cost.
Below are some of Salama RMF products all of which are designed to meet any extreme weather conditions.
-
Paint
Salama RMF manufactures and supplies a full range of traffic paints in both solvent and waterborne based recipes formulated to meet required specifications whether Federal, State, local or commercial based.
Waterborne traffic paint is based on pure acrylic or styrenated acrylic emulsion technologies. Formulated for use in a wide range of applications, from streets and highways to parking lots, waterborne traffic paints are suitable for application on both bituminous and concrete surfaces and can be sprayed with airless or conventional spray equipment.
Solvent-based traffic paints are copolymers based and are especially suitable for colder ambient applications where waterborne may not be used.
-
Hot-Applied Thermoplastic
Salama RMF manufactures and supplies a full range of thermoplastic products in both hydrocarbon and alkyd recipe. Thermoplastic pavement marking material is a 100% solid compound comprising of pigments, glass beads, binders and fillers which becomes liquid when heated to the recommended temperature.
In liquid form, the thermoplastic may be applied using standard industry applicators including hand liners and truck-mounted equipment. Intermixed and drop on glass beads provide retro-reflectivity for nighttime visibility of the pavement marking.
-
Plural Components traffic marking materials
Plural components are a combination of monomers, polymers, and pigments (Component A) that when mixed with the appropriate catalyst (Component B) in a proper mixing ratio, react exothermically to form a durable long-lasting road marking.
These highly durable products are formulated to create a highly stable bond between themselves and the substrate. Plural components can be used for both flat and profiled markings.
In addition to long term material presence, all of Salama’s plural components offer excellent retro-reflectivity when the proper glass beads and coatings are used.
-
Reflective Glass Beads
Pavement marking retro reflectorization is accomplished through the use of glass beads partially embedded on the surface of the pavement marking material. Light rays entering the glass beads are retro-reflected back to the driver to significantly improve pavement marking visibility in low light situations. Salama offers different grades of glass beads to address varying industry requirements.
-
Phosphorescent Paints
Phosphorescent paint is commonly called “glow in the dark” paint. It is made from rare earth alkaline mineral crystals free of radioactive additives and can be recharged an infinite numerous of times.
Phosphorescent paints have a sustained glow that lasts for up to 10 hours after exposure to light, fading over time.
It can be used as body paint, on children ‘ s wall and outdoors, decorative purpose, emergency exit markings and signs in warehouses, airplanes, warning sign coating on crash barriers, interlocks, etc.
With full-fledged facility and R&D Center which has highly experienced technical staff and technicians, Salama RMF employs, just to mention, extensive customer application simulation testing, design of experiment testing, as well as analysis and engineering of paints so as to conform to the continually evolving market needs.
Salama Road Marking Factory is ISO 9001:2015 certified. This certification demonstrates the company’s ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
