Waterforeveryone, an organization in Switzerland has provided a platform for communities and organizations to develop innovative approaches to improve access to fresh and safe water.

The platform which is online is also for sharing knowledge and raising global awareness on water conservation.

The platform allows individuals and organizations, both public and private, to connect with one another and share their knowledge and expertise, support existing concrete initiatives and create new ones, promote innovative solutions, and contribute to the online resource centre by posting articles, news, research findings etc.

Water for everyone is a non-profit organization developed by a multidisciplinary group of professionals with an aim to increase the amount and access of clean water available to millions of people across the planet.

“With more than 10% of the world’s population not having access to safe, drinkable water, there is more we can do to help alleviate this statistic,” said Mathieu Lamolle, founder of Waterforeveryone.

He added that the purpose of this community platform is to educate people while encouraging group effort towards a workable goal.

According to Lamolle, Waterforeveryone is set to directly contribute to achieve United Nations Sustainable Development Goals: SDG3 (Good health and well-being), SDG6 (Clean water and sanitation), SDG9 (Industry, innovation and infrastructure), SDG11 (Sustainable cities and communities), SDG12 (Responsible consumption and production), and 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).

To assist with getting projects off the ground and actually seeing them through, the portal supports a crowd-funding mechanism which enables online members to run fundraising campaigns for their initiatives.

These campaigns will focus on how to develop and implement sustainable solutions in order to tackle water related issues.

The platform will also serve to promote collaboration on projects across countries around the world.

The organization invites everyone to join the global community to spur innovation, knowledge and successful projects and at no cost since registration to Waterforeveryone is free.
