The Rabt Transmission Project seeks to Implement The First Phase in Five Projects To Ensure Effective Transmission
The Rabt Transmission project seeks to implement the first phase of constructing grids in five project stages to implement effective transmission. The first project involves the construction of the Barik and Suwayhat grid stations. The stations will have a voltage of 400 kilowatts of power in production capacity. The grid stations will also include two transformers with a capacity of 500 megavolt-amperes. The second project follows up with the construction of overhead lines covering a distance of 670 kilometers. The overhead cables will connect the five electrical grids and ensure transmission. It will also provide secure, stable, and reliable electricity to the Special Economic Zone by connecting the Duqm Electricity network with the 400kV National Grid. The Rabt Transmission project will further help fulfill the aim of ensuring that the factories and large companies in Duqm are provided with their needs of electricity. It will further help attract more investors to the zone, provide more employment opportunities, and help grow the national economy.
