The capital of the UAE, Abu Dhabi has officially announced the launch of the highly-anticipated, Sweihan Housing Project. Thus far, it boasts a substantial investment attraction of AED572.1 million ($155 million). Moreover, the project forms an integral part of the Emirati Neighbourhood Initiative.
Quite impressively, the development spans a total area of 800,000 square meters. In a nutshell, the Sweihan Housing Project strives to serve as a residential hub for the region’s citizens. Alongside shopping malls, the development will feature two grand mosques as well as parks.
Furthermore, the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority (ADHA) made an announcement that the project will also include a serene environment for its residents. As a result, it will has incorporated green spaces into its design.
Sweihan Housing Project in Abu Dhabi to set and elevate housing standardsÂ
A notable feature of the residential housing project is the showcase and incorporation of Emirati national culture, heritage, and identity. According to ADHA, the development strives to offer residents high-quality services and amenities.
In total, the project will feature 204 luxuriously designed villas, alongside a state-of-the-art community centre. Moreover, each villa will include dining and living rooms. In addition to five bedrooms, two majlis and more.Â

Interestingly, the Sweihan Housing Project is the very first to adhere to the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority’s Integrated Neighbourhood Directory. As a result, it holds special and important significance in further setting standards within the real estate market.Â
As a whole, the ADHA has played a significant and grand role towards the development as well as implementation of several housing programs. In fact, it is reported that the Authority, over the years is responsible for the provision of about 38,000 plots of land.
In addition to the construction of over 11,000 brand-new homes. Additionally, ADHA is said to have granted well up to 45,000 housing loans, alongside offering exemption from 3,700 housing loan repayments.Â
