Norwegian Planor Bolig has engaged Veidekke, a construction and civil engineering company, to develop the Daaehagen residential project. Situated in the Moa neighbourhood of Ålesund, Norway, the design and build contract is estimated to be worth Nkr116m, exclusive of VAT.
The project scope includes the construction of 34 units across three apartment buildings. These will vary in height, standing three, four, and five storeys tall, respectively. Alongside the residential spaces, the development will also feature vehicle parking facilities, outdoor areas, and two playgrounds for children. The units range from 57m² to 153m² in size, each boasting a balcony and private terraces.

Construction of Daaehagen Residential Project in Norway
Veidekke Bygg Møre Romsdal district manager, Stig Mork, expressed gratitude for the confidence Planor Bolig has shown in Veidekke, looking forward to a fruitful partnership with this new client. “Despite some perceiving the housing market to face challenges, it is gratifying to see sales performing well. A combination of quality and location still holds sway,” he noted.
The property’s location offers potential residents an array of local amenities. This includes numerous restaurants, golf courses, and shopping centres, boasting more than 200 retail stores. Currently, design works are in progress, with groundwork having commenced recently. The contract is also registered in Veidekke’s order backlog for Q2 of the current year.
