At the heart of this cutting-edge plant is the production of helically welded steel pipes, with the impressive capability to manufacture pipes with diameters of up to 2.54 meters. These versatile pipes play a vital role in a wide range of sectors, including the construction of natural gas pipelines, crude oil conduits, petroleum product transportation, water intake infrastructure, sewerage networks, heating systems, road and bridge construction, bank reinforcement projects, and port expansions.

Mehmet Kiliclar, President of Hatboru Romania’s management board, is enthusiastic about the venture, stating, “In the first year of operation, we aim to surpass the volume of pipes imported into the Romanian market over the last 15 years. Our success hinges on securing new projects within the local and regional markets.” This ambitious goal underscores Hatboru Romania’s commitment to becoming a key player in the Romanian steel pipe industry.

Hatboru’s journey in the Romanian market began in 2008, and since then, the company has made substantial contributions by delivering over 25,000 tons of high-quality pipes produced in Turkey. These pipes have played a crucial role in supporting the expansion and development of Romania’s natural gas transportation infrastructure.

With a legacy in the steel industry dating back to 1964, Hatboru brings a wealth of experience and expertise to its operations. The company boasts an impressive annual production capacity of 200,000 tons of spiral welded pipes, further solidifying its position as a leading player in the global steel manufacturing arena.
