Kenya Sport Facilities that will Host AFCON Tournament
The government made a big announcement that the tournament was going to be hosted in the stadiums of cities of Nairobi and Eldoret thus sparking anger from the governor of Kisumu and Kakamega counties as a result of the western region being let out on hosting this tournament despite being the hub of football talent in the country. However, the country considered this and also proposed that the stadiums loacted in the two counties could also be allowed to host the AFCON 2027 tournament. The president stated that the governor of Kisumu has been quite categorical in the previous weeks and should be considered to host some of the games of the tournament.
The establishment of these Kenya Sport Facilities is a way of preparation by the country to host such major tournaments in case it is accorded with the chance.
