New Muhanga Stadium is yet to be constructed as the government of Rwanda has completed expropriation of households on a 10-hectare piece of land in Muhanga District to give way for the development of the stadium. Eric Bizimana, who is currently the Vice Mayor of Economic Development of the southern district, stated the proposed stadium, will collectively be financed through FIFA, Confederation of African Football (CAF), and the Rwanda soccer Association (Ferwafa).

The New stadium’s cost

The cost of construction of the new Muhanga Stadium project will cost Rwf135 billion according to Eric Bizimana.
