The Edo State Government has forged strategic partnerships with three property developers for the construction of a total of 454 housing units across various locations. These locations include Uhunmwonde, Ekpoma, and Benin City. This significant development was unveiled by John Zedomi, the Managing Director of the Edo State Development and Property Corporation (ESDPC).

Orange Estate Land Developers Nigeria Limited, Indigenous Real Estate Developer, and Median Infrastructure Development Limited have taken on the mission as selected property developers. Each of these entities will contribute to the state’s ambitious housing expansion project.

Proposed Commencing Date For The Construction Of 454 Housing Units In Edo State.

Zedomi highlighted that these housing projects, scheduled to commence this September, will provide an invaluable opportunity for residents. Residents will be able to become homeowners, ultimately transforming their lives. These developments not only address the housing deficit but also have the potential to reshape communities. They will improve the quality of life for citizens and contribute to the overall development and prosperity of Edo State.

Orange Estate Land Developers Nigeria Limited plans to construct 108 blocks of flats in Iguovbiobo. Iguovbiobo is located along the Benin-Auchi road within Uhunmwonde Local Government Area. Meanwhile, an indigenous real estate developer is preparing to commence the construction of 300 affordable housing units along the Ekpoma-Irrua road. They will be situated in the Esan West Local Government Area.

Furthermore, Median Infrastructure Development Limited has received the task of erecting 46 luxury apartments. They will be located within the Government Reservation Area (GRA) at Golfview Heights, Benin City. The decision to engage Median Infrastructure Development Ltd in this venture stemmed from the resounding success of the Golf Mews project. A project which experienced oversubscription and demonstrated the company’s capability to deliver high-quality housing solutions.
