Spanning an area of 21,150 square meters, the UAE is preparing to commence development works for its first-ever, Gastroenterology Hospital Project. The facility’s project is by one of the largest medical institutions in South Korea, Asan Medical Centre, in cooperation with Scope Investments.Â
Right within Dubai Healthcare City premises, the 65-bed facility’s implementation will be in coordination with Dubai Health Authority. As a whole, the Gastroenterology Hospital Project will feature seven ground floors in addition to two basement floors. Moreover, it will be equipped with the latest technologies, devices, digital solutions, and equipment.
An official statement further revealed that it will host the best of doctors and specialists with international expertise. Quite impressively, the project is Asan Medical Center’s first hospital out of Korea. Construction works are scheduled to begin soon, while completion is said to be by 2026.Â

The Gastroenterology Hospital Project Strives To Boost Health TourismÂ
While speaking about the project, the Director General of The Dubai Health Authority said Asan is creating an appropriate and supportive environment. Furthermore, Awadh Seghayer al Ketbi added that the facility will enhance Asan Medical Center’s successes. In addition to further contributing towards the firm’s ambitious goals in Dubai.Â
Upon completion, the facility will provide an array of services for diagnosing. Furthermore, it will also offer specialized treatments for gastrointestinal tumors, including that of the pancreas, colon, and stomach. Taking it a step further, it will also offer specialized treatments for live transplant patients alongside, morbid obesity surgeries.Â
Fareed Billbeisi, Scope Investment CEO, noted that the Gastroenterology Hospital Project stems from the company’s strategy. Fareed further revealed that it will be the very first to specialist in the digestive system throughout the entire Arab region. As a result, it will position itself as an ideal destination for health tourism.Â
