The new £48 million hotel at Baltic Quarter on Gateshead Quayside is set to be constructed by Russell WBHO. The latter was appointed to carry out the project by the developer, Ask: PATRIZIA.
The planning application for the nine-storey hotel, covering 180,898 square feet and featuring 344 bedrooms, was approved by Gateshead Council in March. Russell WBHO plans to commence the two-year construction project before the end of the year.
The Hotel at Baltic Quarter, Gateshead Quayside is designed by AHR Architects. Upon completion, it will offer various amenities such as restaurants, bars, business meeting rooms, and a resident’s gym. Vine Hotels will manage the hotel. It will also operate under Accor’s Novotel and Ibis brands.
