Idaho Falls Regional Airport (IDA), the state’s second busiest airport, will be expanded by 18,000 square feet. Clayco has been awarded the construction management contract for the IDA terminal restoration and extension by the airport. The company is a full-service, fully integrated design-build construction business. Construction Solutions Company, based in Idaho Falls, will be Clayco’s associate team member for the project. Additionally, the two businesses operate as part of a single integrated team to finish the work on the project.

Federal Airport funds will finance the $45 million project. Construction will take place between early 2024 and 2026. It will greatly extend and replace the outgoing baggage system. Additionally, it enhances the ticketing, central lobby, and other airport activities. Significant, crucial enhancements to the terminal’s mechanical, electrical, communication, and plumbing infrastructure are a part of the construction.
In 2022, IDA achieved a historic milestone by serving over 628,000 passengers, a record. Further, the airport serves the whole region. The extension project is critical to ensure passengers arrive on time and draw additional business to the airport.
