The Hunter, Formativ‘s first project in Colorado Springs, has officially broken ground, according to the Denver-based company’s announcement. The 214-unit multifamily development is named in honour of longtime Colorado Springs resident Samuel C. Hunter, Jr., and his family.

It will be in the thriving New South End neighbourhood, close to some of the city’s most renowned tourist destinations and well-liked eating and drinking spots.

The Hunter is in a Qualified Opportunity Zone at the intersection of Cimarron and Weber Streets. Additionally, Formativ and investment partner Argosy Real Estate Partners structured the project to take advantage of this investment program. They will own the property for 10 years, making them long-term investors in the city.

Furthermore, the architecture of the project has undoubtedly benefited from this long-term holding strategy. They paid close attention to material selections and construction methods to ensure longevity and a timeless aesthetic.

Details on The Hunter Colorado Springs amenities

There are 214 apartments total in The Hunter, with entrances on Cimarron and Weber Streets. The apartments range in size from studios to one and two-bedroom homes. Each amenity is intended to promote a sense of community.

Among the amenities offered are a thoughtfully designed office space, private phone booths, a luxurious fitness centre, and a tranquil yoga studio. Additionally, with a game room, and a two-story clubhouse with breathtaking mountain views that looks out into the year-round pool deck, the amenity program offers both relief and amusement.

Sean Campbell, CEO and founder of Formativ, expressed his excitement about contributing to Colorado Springs’ vibrant and expanding downtown culture. “As people have more options for where to live these days, Colorado Springs is becoming a well-liked option.

Further, it’s not surprising given the availability of the outdoors, the presence of important historical sites like the Air Force Academy, the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum, and the brand-new Weidner Field, as well as a thriving nightlife.”
