The Apsley, a 19-storey residential building coming up at 2330 Broadway, on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, New York is set for completion by the end of April 2023.
Sunrise Senior Living partnered with Welltower to build the 178-unit property that includes assisted living and memory care services. The newly completed property will be their second luxury senior lifestyle community in the city.
The Sunrise Senior VP, Denise Falco, said that she was confident about Apsley’s potential for success in Manhattan. She explained that this is especially since the region has always had a strong demand for high-quality, elevated senior living.
Denise also mentioned that Sunrise has successfully managed another sister property dubbed Sunrise at East 56th. Furthermore, she said that she was certain that the new property would serve the needs of Manhattan’s seniors and their families.
The Apsley was developed at a convenient location that offers an easy commute. It’s in close proximity to 1 train at the 86th Street station on Broadway and the B and C trains. In addition, residents can also easily access the Hudson River Waterfront Greenway that’s within walking distance of the property.

The Apsley residential property is a 19-storey building offering a mix of apartments ranging from studio to two-bedroom layouts. It will consist of 76 assisted living and 80 memory care apartments.
Additionally, residents will have access to an art studio, theater, tableside dining & private dining spaces, and a fitness gym. In addition, the develop[ment features technologies such as resident wearables and Amazon’s Alexa and Aiva.
According to Champalimaud, their designs were inspired by the deep history and vibrant culture of the neighborhood. Furthermore, it also incorporates details from pre-war residential buildings such as The Dakota and Cathedral of Saint John the Divine.
