Frampton Construction, a Charleston County construction company, is expanding its presence in the county with a multi-million dollar investment in its regional offices. The company said that a $12.9 million investment in expanding its manufacturing business unit will result in the creation of 69 new employment.

The corporation acquired land in Ladson with the intention of constructing a 40,000-square-foot building on Highway 78.

Frampton Construction, which was founded in 1993, provides planning and design assistance, as well as preconstruction and construction services for the commercial, industrial, and manufacturing market sectors, according to the statement. The firm is increasing its manufacturing business unit as well as the support personnel committed to the growth and development of Frampton team members.

“Frampton Construction’s announcement demonstrates how the company’s dedication to thorough planning and innovative design doesn’t just shape buildings; it shapes the very fabric of our community,”  Charleston County Council Chairman Herbert Ravenel Sass III said in the release.

In addition, the corporation maintains offices in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Tampa, Florida. On behalf of the developer, The Keith Corp., it also finished construction of Upstate Trade Centre, a 907,400-square-foot industrial park in Greenville, South Carolina. The speculative project, located four miles from I-85 and near to US Highway 25 and Donaldson Centre Airport, took about a year to construct.
