The Goodyear City Council unanimously approved the rezoning of the 28-acre site for the rental apartments in January 2022. The developer is partnering with the nearby community, Canyon Trails, to re-landscape a wash area, reducing outdoor water usage and exemplifying responsible development practices. Moreover, the affordable housing apartments in Goodyear colors will be carefully coordinated with the surrounding single-family homes, ensuring visual harmony and appeal.

According to officials the affordable apartments in Goodyear project work is expected to be completed in 2025. Goodyear Councilmember Brannon Hampton expressed his enthusiasm for the project, acknowledging the pressing need for housing options that cater to diverse socioeconomic groups. As more people and employers flock to Goodyear, the demand for affordable homes becomes increasingly crucial. Dominium’s involvement with the local community goes beyond housing. The apartment community’s clubhouse will house a 600-square-foot area that local elementary school students can use, fostering a positive connection between residents and the younger generation.

Furthermore, the affordable apartments in Goodyear development will boast the city’s first public art installation within an apartment complex, collaboratively created by local students, showcasing the developer’s dedication to enhancing the community’s cultural landscape. The developer, Dominium, acquired the land they are using to build the affordable apartments few years ago.
