Lutheran Health Network has broken ground on a new facility that will bring additional healthcare access to the residents of Huntington, Indiana. A new medical office building will be built at 235 Hauenstein Road. It will provide primary care, and imaging services as well as rotating medical specialists. Construction on the 8,000-square-foot project will begin immediately. It is the first Lutheran Health Network facility in Huntington.

“This new site will increase access to quality healthcare services for Huntington and the surrounding area,” said Nicole Rexroth, CEO of Lutheran Health Physicians. “A large number of residents from this area travel to other Lutheran Health Physician locations for care. This new site will allow them to have access to our medical services close to where they live and work.”

The Lutheran Health Network facility opening date
The new site is expected to open by late summer 2024. MKM architecture + design is the architect for the project. Furthermore, FCI Construction as the general contractor, and Veritas is the developer.
Lutheran Health Network is a healthcare provider and one of the largest employers in the northeast region of Indiana in the United States. The network has more than 7,000 employees working together. Additionally, it has more than 800 physicians who make up its medical staff. The network’s more than 100 access points in northern Indiana include physician offices, urgent care clinics, outpatient centres and eight hospitals consisting of 973 licensed beds – 797 in Allen County alone. Lutheran Health Network is a subsidiary of Community Health Systems.
