The much-anticipated expansion of McEwen Northside, a 45-acre mixed-use urban zone inside Cool Springs, is on the horizon, with work starting on “Block E.” Block E, which is expected to be completed in Spring 2025, will bring the McEwen Northside district to almost 80% completion.

The $125 million addition comprises a nine-story, mixed-use skyscraper with high-profile tenants activating creative office spaces and speciality retail stores, as well as destination cafes on the ground floor. A new multi-level parking garage connected to the cutting-edge skyscraper by a covered walkway will provide approximately 900 parking spots for tourists and employees.

Block E will be adjacent to McEwen Northside’s iconic Central Park, a thriving community gathering place, and will feature interactive streetscapes and vibrant public art. The extremely walkable and readily linked form of the block continues to provide tourists with a unique urban experience.

“With each addition to McEwen Northside, our focus is on strengthening the district’s well-earned reputation as an ideal spot for friends, families, and co-workers to enjoy time together,” said Phil Fawcett, managing partner of Boyle Investment Company, in a news release. “In the busy hub that is Cool Springs, McEwen Northside is proud to present its residents and neighbours with opportunities for both work and play, including a truly unique mix of retail and dining experiences, and we believe Block E will only strengthen McEwen Northside’s offerings as a premiere destination district.”

Details on the McEwen Northside development

As McEwen Northside evolves, the popular mixed-use zone welcomes Designed Conveyor Systems (DCS) as one of Block E’s cornerstone tenants. Moreover, the supply chain firm specialises in the design and construction of material-handling technologies for warehouse operations.

DCS will lease 46,000 square feet for its corporate offices, which will include a cutting-edge, technology-enabled showcase enclosed entirely in glass.
