The first phase of a 335-unit luxury multifamily development, dubbed Melody on Main was recently opened in Mesa, Arizona. Overall, the project comprises five buildings and thus far two of these buildings have come online. It was previously known as Mesa Arts District Lofts and the developer, Opus Group, celebrated the groundbreaking in December 2021.
Opus initially invested about $53 million in the Melody on Main, which was funded through a construction loan from UMB Bank. However, the rest of the funding will be covered by Griffin Capital’s Qualified Opportunity Zone Fund II. The developer recently formed a joint venture partnership with Griffin Capital Co on the multifamily apartment project. Opus expects the apartments to reach full completion by March 2024.
The Melody on Main development is taking place on a 10-acre site at 145 E. Main St. The location offers access to Center/Main Street Light rail’s station and it’s approximately 20 miles from downtown Phoenix. Therefore, the property has access to Mesa Contemporary Arts Museum and Mesa Arts Center. MT Builders based in Scottsdale Arizona, is serving as the general contractor and P.B. Bell is handling management services.
Featured amenities at the Melody on Main
Upon completion, Melody on Main will include studio, one, two, and three-bedroom units, along with live-work units. The units will be of sizes ranging between 502 and 1,666 square feet. In addition, the property will also include 20,000 square feet of ground-floor retail components. The apartments will be furnished with amenities such as custom cabinetry, granite countertops, and tile backsplashes in the Gourmet kitchen.
Melody on Main features several community amenities including a gate with controlled access, EV charging stations, and on-call maintenance. Additionally, the community is also pet friendly and provides a pet spa, as well as a 24/7 standard fitness center. Other facilities on the property include a social club room with lounge seating, tabletop games, and an outdoor terrace. What’s more, it also provides a resort-style heated pool with a hot tub, shaded cabanas, and a yoga studio.
