Construction has commenced on a mixed-use development dubbed Queensbridge Collective in Charlotte’s South End Neighborhood, North Carolina. Recently, a new project consisting of residential, office and retail components broke ground at 111 East Carson Boulevard.

Clark Construction Group, the general contractor for the Queensbridge Collective development was present at the groundbreaking. Other partners who were also present at the event include Riverside Investment & Development, Woodfield Development, Goettsch Partners, and CBRE.

Development plans for the Queensbridge Collective project

The main attraction of the Queensbridge Collective development will be a stunning 42-storey multifamily tower, featuring 409 units. Additionally, the property will have a 35-story, 600,000-square-foot office building which will complement the residential marvel.

It also provides nearly 30,000 square feet of retail space and 1,600 parking spaces. According to the developers, their goal is to create a vibrant  destination suitable for residents, professionals, and visitors alike

The first phase of the Queensbridge Collective project will commence shortly after the completion of the initial site work. Afterwards, the vertical construction of the residential tower will begin. The developers expect the residential tower to reach completion by early 2025. The next construction phase will focus on the office tower development, and creating a comprehensive and dynamic urban environment.

The Queensbridge Collective project will be the fourth collaboration among the development partners over the past decade. According to the Clark Construction Group’s vice president, Chris Phares, their team has a proven track record of success. Therefore, the new project will build on the success of the team’s award-winning projects in Chicago. Their projects in Chicago include 110 North Wacker, 150 North Riverside, and 320 South Canal.

Goettsch Partners is the designer responsible for the architectural vision of the Queensbridge Collective project. The designs will focus on redefining urban living as well as providing best-in-class amenities. Furthermore, the project promises to shape Charlotte’s skyline and offer its occupants an exceptional living and working experience.
