Construction will soon commence on a 223-acre mixed-use Pompano Beach development dubbed The Pomp in South Florida. Recently the developers, Cordish Companies and Caesars Entertainment announced their plans, which include hotel, retail, residential, office and lifestyle amenities.

According to the developers, The Pomp will be a unique entertainment and lifestyle destination, unlike anything in South Florida. Especially since it also combines casino gaming and best-in-class entertainment with the aim of creating a high-energy dining and entertainment hub.

The  Live!, a dining and entertainment district will anchor the property and its location also near Harrah’s Pompano Beach casino. Therefore, the location of the development is about 35 miles north of Miami and 10 miles north of Fort Lauderdale.

Development plans for The Pomp in South Florida

The Pomp will offer a 1.3 million square foot retail and entertainment component and 4,000 luxury residential units. In addition, it also features two hotels, a Topgolf facility and multiple dining concepts for Live! at The Pomp. The property provides premier food and beverage venues spanning 25,000 square feet including popular brands like Sports & Social and PBR Cowboy Bar.

The Sports & Social and PBR Cowboy Bar venues at The Pomp will open up onto the central plaza. This section of the property will create a free-flowing gathering space suitable for various social activities, festivals and events. The Sports & Social venue will span 18,000 square feet and provide multiple digital media experiences.

Additionally, it also features a LED media wall which allows guests to watch multiple games and sporting events at once. Other elements at the venue include emcees and DJs, live fan cams, cutting-edge audio,  visual displays,  music and light effects. Meanwhile, PBR Cowboy Bar will be a 7,000-square-foot venue offering high-energy music, expansive bars, and private VIP tables.

The new Topgolf at The Pomp will be the eighth location in Florida featuring 102 outdoor climate-controlled hitting bays. The new golf facility also includes a full-service restaurant, top-shelf drinks, a rooftop terrace, a patio, music, and private event space. Thus far, it’s currently under construction with its opening date set for late 2023.
