Thompson Thrift, a full-service, globally recognised real estate firm, announced the construction of Refinery at Pointe17, a 224-unit Class A multifamily complex in northern Phoenix near the $40 billion Taiwan Semiconductor Plant (TSMC). Construction is due to begin this month, with Thompson Thrift expecting to welcome new residents in the second half of 2025.

Refinery at Pointe17, located right off Interstate 17, near the southwest corner of Dove Valley and the recently permitted 29th Avenue interchange, will provide one-, two- and three-bedroom apartment units averaging 1,000 square feet. Residents will have access to luxury features such as 9-foot ceilings, stainless-steel appliances, tile backsplashes, designer fixtures and finishes, hardwood-style flooring. Furthermore, large walk-in closets, patio and balcony options, a full-size washer and dryer, and a suite of Alexa-compatible smart home technology.

A fully equipped 24-hour fitness centre, yoga and spin studio, bike storage, resort-style heated swimming pool, firepits with seating area, community grilling areas, pickleball court are some of the ammenities available. Additionally, a 24-hour business centre, private focus rooms and offices for rent, rooftop deck, event lounge, over 80 on-site electric vehicle charging spaces, dog park and pet spa, and billiards and shuffleboard will be available throughout the community.

Refinery is the multifamily component of Thompson Thrift’s Pointe17 mixed-use development. It puts residents within walking distance of different retail and eating options. Already committed to the site are Oregano’s, a local, family owned restaurant; Twisted Sugar, a gourmet cookie business; Over Easy, a breakfast and brunch restaurant; and Foothills Grille, a new restaurant concept from the proprietors of Pinnacle Grill.
