Plans to develop Twin Lakes at Avon Park, in Central Florida’s lake region are reportedly moving forward. Recently the developer, Sunlight Resorts, secured $23 million in bridge financing from DLP Capital to build the high-end manufactured rental home community.

DLP Capital’s CEO, Don Wenner said his company is focusing on providing capital solutions to mitigate America’s workforce housing crisis. He said Twin Lakes at Avon Park would help fill the enormous void in affordability; an issue plaguing many Sunbelt markets. As a result, Wenner expects the new rental community to become a highly sought-after property.

Features of the Twin Lakes at Avon Park

The Twin Lakes at Avon Park will feature a 325-rental home community nestled between Lake Anoka and Lake Lelia.

It will be built on a property spanning over 76 acres, and situated near the U.S. 98 and 64 routes. Therefore, the location offers easy commutes to Tampa and St. Petersburg and it’s roughly 3 miles from Avon Park Executive Airport. Additionally, residents will also have access to the Sun Ray shopping Centre that’s about 10 miles away.

On top of that, the community also provides docks and public fishing spots, a pet park, and a pickleball court.

Sunlight Resorts intends to build Twin Lakes at Avon Park as an energy-efficient property with highly insulated climate control. Therefore, the design plans for buildings include thermal windows and efficient heating and cooling systems. The developer expects the first home pads to be ready for occupancy by early next year.
