Young Africans Sports Club (Yanga) has revealed its ambitious plans to construct its own stadium in Tanzania. The stadium will be actualized in a long-term partnership among three local banks – NMB, CRDB, and NBC.

This exciting announcement was made by the club’s president, Engineer Hersi Said, during the club’s Annual General Meeting. Engineer Hersi Said reported that Yanga is finalizing the necessary paperwork for the proposed partnership with the three banks.

According to the club’s general secretary Said Mrisho, the work on the new complex will start in June 2023. Additionally, the drawing and design of the facility have already been completed. Moreover, the football pitch is expected to have the same length as the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam.

Construction of the modern stadium will be at the club’s headquarters located on Jangwani Street in the Kariakoo area of Dar es Salaam. The planned stadium will adhere to CAF (Confederation of African Football) standards. This means it will meet the requirements for hosting international football matches and other prestigious events.
