With over 10,000 hotel rooms in nearly 40 locations and 15 countries, the Waldorf Astoria Hotels and Resorts, a brand of Hilton, is set to make its debut into Abu Dhabi. Following a signed agreement between Hilton and Aldar, the property is set to be put up in the UAEโ€™s capital city, offering scenic mangrove views and bringing an unmatched luxury hospitality experience. The brand is not, however, new to the market. Hilton has over 35 hotels in the UAE. These include The Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah was constructed in Dubai in 2013, and the Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah was also set up in Ras Al Khaimah in the same year.

Hotel Features

The new resort offers guests numerous memorable experiences. This includes the Mangrove National Park just a short walk away from the hotel, with over 60 bird species and wildlife such as turtles, dugongs, and dolphins. In addition to the vast forest area, visitors can also enjoy kayaking, stand up paddleboarding, or boating through the parkโ€™s main water channel that goes through the forest. The hotel itself will offer three swimming pools, great for the summer heat, separating adults, family and children. A fitness club, a spa, and two ballrooms have also been incorporated into the property.

The Waldorf Astoria Abu Dhabi will have 167 guest rooms and suits, all with views of the mangroves. All guests will be assigned a personal concierge to attend to every detail of their stay from pre-arrival to post-departure. The hotel does not lack in food and beverage options, offering a brasserie, a rooftop specialty restaurant, a pool lounge, and the brandโ€™s celebrated Peacock Alley lounge for tea and sundowners.

What’s special about it’s location?

The hotel is also in close proximity to Abu Dhabiโ€™s attractions that include the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, the Louvre Abu Dhabi and the Qasr Al Watan presidential palace. Additionally, the Abu Dhabi corniche, downtown Abu Dhabi and Zayed International Airport.

The Waldorf Astoria Hotel Madinah

If this was not enough, Hilton is further marking its spot in the middle east with yet another Waldorf Astoria hotel in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. Having signed yet another agreement with Taiba Investments, the hotel brand is set to open an even bigger hotel in 2028. Featuring over 300 guest rooms and suites, the new hotel will be a renovation of the existing Taiba Front Hotel which is uniquely situated on the northern side of the Prophet’s Mosque (PBUH). The hotel boasts exclusive, direct views of the holy site and is only a few minutes’ walk away.
