Located at the corner where Lebanon Road meets Dallas Parkway lies The Mix. A revitalization effort, for the 112-acre area once referred to as Wade Park. This visionary $3B initiative aims to transform the area into an urban setting with a mix of office spaces galore in addition to retail shops and dining options that cater to everyoneโ€™s taste buds. The project also includes plans, for hotels and a range of living choices that promise to add diversity and vitality to the community.

In the beginning stages of this projects funding process multiple local organizations are coming together to support it financially. The Frisco Economic Development Corporation has pledged a $10 million grant, for infrastructure improvements. Additionally, the city, the EDC and the Frisco Community Development Corporation are offering tax incentives amounting to a total of $103. 6 million

The Mix: First Phase

Initial phase of infrastructure development is expected to be finished by the end of 2026 as, per the timeline projections; this advancement follows challenges such, as delays and legal complications associated with the developer of the site.

The highlight of The Mix will be its areas centered around a 9-acre park situated in the core of the projects development plan; the same talented group responsible, for Dallasโ€™s well regarded Klyde Warren Park will be tasked with creating these outdoor spaces.

Site Previously Designated for the Wade Park Development

The Mix marks a beginning, for a location that has faced its share of obstacles in the past. The site was previously designated for the Wade Park development. Had been inactive since 2017 due to financial issues experienced by the initial developer. One significant reminder of the project โ€“ an excavation, for underground parking โ€“ will be transformed into a spacious new underground garage.

Development team, behind the project shared their excitement. Emphasized their dedication to developing a initiative that resonates with Friscoโ€™s goals and positively impacts the community.

The Mix is now part of the expanding collection of mixed-use developments, in Frisco city, alongside The Star. Where the Dallas Cowboys have their headquarters. The ongoing construction of Firefly Park nearby. These projects are working together to transform Friscoโ€™s cityscape and economic outlook.
