The Douglasville data center campus by DC BLOX is a planned digital infrastructure project in Georgia intended to expand regional data capacity and connectivity. The development is designed to support cloud services, data storage, and network infrastructure in the southeastern United States.
DC BLOX has held a groundbreaking ceremony for the campus, marking the start of development activities in Douglasville. The project represents an expansion of the company’s data center portfolio in proximity to Atlanta.
The development is valued at over $1.2 billion and is being supported in part through local economic incentives facilitated by the Elevate Douglas Economic Partnership.
According to the company, the campus will be connected to its existing dark fiber network, which spans nearly 500 miles. The network links multiple locations, including Atlanta, Augusta, and the company’s cable landing station in Myrtle Beach, and is intended to provide high-capacity connectivity across the region.
Mayor Rochelle Robinson expressed her excitement about this development, emphasizing its role in fostering technological innovation, supporting local businesses, and stimulating economic growth within Douglasville.
Construction is advancing with updates as of early 2026 showing he project has secured $1.15 billion in financing for development. The first building (Building A) is expected to be delivered in 2026. Subsequent buildings (B and C) expanding the campus to three buildings will also be delivered by 2029.
Other Projects
Other than the DC BLOX data center campus, Google is also working on Project Pegasus in LaGrange, Georgia. The $8bn data center campus has recently been in the spotlight with Google confirming it is behind the project.
The facility is located some 70 miles southwest of Atlanta as Google confirms its involvement earlier this month. This came to be when the LaGrange Fire Department noted it had rescued a worker from a Google data center construction site at 411 Pegasus Parkway. Google has noted it will front any costs for power at the site and also infrastructure needs.
