Diriyah Company has inked a joint development agreement with Midad Development and Real Estate Investment Company to establish the Four Seasons Hotel Project and Private Residences Diriyah. As for the total investment for the project, covering both land acquisition and construction, it costs up to $827 million. This hotel project will join others such as the Ciel Dubai Marina in transforming the Middle East into a leading global tourist destination.

Four Seasons Hotel Facilities

Th Four Seasons Hotel Diriyah will have 159 luxury rooms. Also, it will have accompanying private residences that will form part of Diriyah’s 235,938 sq m ‘City of Earth’ masterplan.

First Major Partnership Between the Two Developers

This marks the first significant collaboration between Diriyah Company and Midad, contributing to one of nearly 40 luxury hotels planned across Diriyah’s two main master plans: the 14-square-kilometre Diriyah project and the adjacent 62-square-kilometre Wadi Safar project. Together, these developments are designed as exclusive lifestyle destinations blending culture, leisure, and luxury living.

About Diriyah

Located just outside Riyadh, Diriyah is a 300-year-old site considered the birthplace of the Kingdom and the capital of the first Saudi state. Furthermore, it is home to the UNESCO World Heritage Site At-Turaif, the valley and palm groves of Wadi Hanifah. Also, Diriyah is expected to soon host a development that honours the Kingdom’s rich heritage.

The project is part of Saudi Vision 2030 which aims to create one of the Middle East’s most walkable, pedestrianized cities, that will consist of traditional Najdi architecture with low-rise buildings, rooftop terraces, decorated doors, and large courtyards.

A Look into Diriyah’s Investment and Economic Impact

The City of Earth is valued at $63.2 billion and has so far awarded more than $27 billion (SAR 101.25 billion) in construction contracts. Once fully complete, the development shall contribute approximately $18.6 billion to the Kingdom’s GDP, create more than 180,000 jobs, and accommodate an estimated 100,000 residents while welcoming up to 50 million visitors annually.

Furthermore, the destination will feature modern office spaces for tens of thousands of professionals, cultural institutions such as museums and the Diriyah Opera House, retail and dining districts, a university, the Diriyah Arena, and nearly 40 world-class resorts and hotels. Upon completion, Diriyah will accommodate approximately 100,000 residents and welcome up to 50 million annual visitors.
