Updated 3rd March 2026: The Eastwood Private Hospital is a six-story healthcare facility in Adelaide featuring a 51-bed ward, six operating theatres, and integrated medical services. Since breaking ground, the project topped out in September 2024 and reached practical completion in July 2025. The hospital officially opened in August 2025, introducing advanced technologies like AI-assisted surgical navigation and a dedicated digital patient app to enhance recovery and reduce surgical wait times. This advancement in private healthcare infrastructure is being mirrored in the public sector, as construction begins on the AUD $1.8 billion Osborne Park Hospital expansion in Western Australia, a massive investment that will significantly increase the state’s capacity for specialized medical services.

Project Team

Head Contractor: BESIX Watpac led the design and construction, reaching practical completion in July 2025.

Architect: HSPC Health Architects designed the six-story facility, with a team including Matthew Szymula and Mary Monaghan.

Developers/Clients: A collaboration between Barwon Investment Partners and Fortius Hospitals.

Project Management: Essence Project Management acted as the project manager and superintendent.

TF Certifiers + Consultants: Provided building certification and DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) consultancy.

Dewick & Associates: Handled mechanical engineering services.
