Data center developer Edged is ogling tax breaks as part of its plan to buildout a 186-acre data center campus in Fort Worth. The firm is considering whether to construct a data center and substation at Veale Ranch. The ranch is a planned industrial site at the southeast corner of I-10 and Chapin School Road. Moreover, it is one which it bought from real estate developer RMB Capital in July 2025. The City of Fort Worth will consider whether to grant Edged a ten-year abatement.
It will be for Business Personal Property taxes at a rate of 50 percent which is valued at $18.2 million. According to a press release by the City of Fort Worth, the incentives have conditions. For instance, these incentive payments are subject to the company performance requirements.”…which could result in a forfeiture of the annual abatement or default if not met,” it noted. Other data centers are taking shape in Texas such as the $4bn Bosque County data center campus which is still in preliminary stages.
