Egypt Mont Galala Towers and Marina Project has been introduced and this is an indication of a radical expansion of tourism in Red Sea coastline. The mixed-use development, which is a $1 billion development, was announced by the government. This is to attract tourists, investors and businesses to Ain Sokhna. This project will transform the way of life in the coastal areas. It will also be one of the underpinnings of the tourism development in Egypt.
Furthermore, the authorities emphasized that the project would be useful towards other developmental objectives such as the diversification of tourism and conventional hotspots. According to the prime minister, the development is a reflection of the aims of the Egypt Vision 2030, and it will draw in a lot of foreign capital.
Mont Galala Towers and Marina Project
The Mont Galala Towers and Marina Project covers about 470 000 m2 on the Gulf of Suez, some 35km south of Ain Sokhna. The key site provides access to key transport routes and accessibility to international tourists to the coastal attraction sites.
The developers will construct ten mixed-use towers including approximately 2 600 units of residential and hotel buildings. The development will have a world-class marina that will have a capacity of over 150 yachts. The site will also have a 28 000 m2 exhibition and conference center to support business and events tourism.
Moreover, the hotel, retail and dining facilities, and recreational facilities of the project will be of the finest standard. Marriott international will run serviced apartments and hospitality with a strategic agreement.
International Relations and Economic Motivation
Egypt has signed three major contracts with foreign partners to have international expertise in the crucial elements of the Mont Galala towers and Marina Project. The operations of the marina will be operated by IGY Marinas (USA) as BCI Realty(UK) will be running the exhibition center. On the other hand, the smart infrastructure and sustainability systems will be developed by Schneider Electric (France).
Also, the Ministry of Housing and the Armed Forces Engineering Authority will cooperate to provide the process with the priorities in the national development. Such a combination of state and non-state action is an assurance of good control and implementation.
According to the authorities the venture would create both direct and indirect employment opportunities in the construction, hotels, retail, maritime services and tourism operations. They also look forward to an increase in specialized tourism sectors such as yachting, conferences and exhibitions.

Role in Tourism Growth Strategy
The tourism ministry of Egypt targets taking the number of visitors to approximately 30 million each year by 2030. The Mont Galala Towers and Marina Project is strategic in attaining this target because it provides tourists with a round-year attraction instead of seasonal tourism services.
Moreover, the project is an addition to other development projects in the Red Sea coast. The officials feel that the integrated urban destination will increase long-term investment and enhance the global brand of Egypt as a tourism destination.
Mont Galala Towers and Marina Project enhances Egypt’s broader strategy of expanding Red Sea tourism corridor, a landmark comparable to the country’s $428m tourism development projects in 2015.
