The 8th Power and Energy Expo is to held in Kenya, from 25th – 27th July 2019. The Expo will enjoy support not only from the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum but also the East Africa chamber of commerce and Agriculture. Another key sponsor is the county planners Association.

The expo will accommodate trade visitors from East and Central Africa. Although Kenya has the biggest market in the region. It accounts for 34% of all sales in sub-Sahara Africa. Additionally, it is the world leader in the number of solar systems installed per capita.

The Expo will allow traders to showcase their products and services to both investors and users. Furthermore, more than 22 countries will be represented. Traders will fall under different categories depending on their products/services. These exhibitor categories include:

  • New &renewable energy
  • Generators and UPS systems
  • IT solutions in power energy
  • plant automation
  • Energy efficiency and conservation.

The power demand in Kenya has been rising at a calculated rate of 3.6 percent annually. As a result innovators have had a gap to fill to ensure consistent power supply. Through this employment opportunities have been created and quality products/ services produced out of the competition.
