The Mining Business and Investment Conference Eastern Africa (MBI) is an annual event aimed at harnessing mining potential in Eastern Africa. Held under the auspices of the Kenya Chamber of Mines and Prescon Limited with the support of the Ministry of Mining, Kenya, the conference brings together key stakeholders in the industry to discuss major concerns as well as point out the strategic investment opportunities available.
Now in its 4th year, the two day conference will be held at Safari Park Hotel on 16th and 17th October where an audience of over 600 delegates with a vested interest in the mining industry is expected to attend. These include investors, mining and exploration companies, service providers, equipment suppliers and the academia.
MBI conference seeks to stimulate the growth of the mining sector in Eastern Africa through facilitation of dialogue led by subject matter experts on pertinent industry issues including infrastructure, technology, fiscal regimes, finance, academia and mining legal frameworks.
Being the biggest mining forum in Eastern Africa,MBI also serves as a platform for unveiling and showcasing of products, technologies and business practices. Over the last three years, the conference has continuously gained recognition as the focal mineral industry event in the region and this year the organizing team aims to involve more stakeholders towards fast-tracking the industry’s growth.
