With Nigeria recording a current trade surplus of about 9.2 Billion USD, and balance of trade of 14.6 Billion USD, investment opportunities in the country is boosted with the on-going rehabilitation of the various hydro and thermal power stations, the building of 19 transmission lines and National Independent Power Plants (NIPPs) projects across the country. Interestingly too, the Power Reform Act 2005 has created a very conducive business environment for all sector players to participate in this window of great opportunities, while the prospects in the steel production activities in the West African Sub-region cannot be over emphasized.
Generally, participants in the 1st edition (Power Generation & Steel Production Exhibition and Conference) called for the expansion of the event to include Modern Homes and Office designs, building materials, furniture and appliances to synergize with the steel and power industries.
