SPACE (Sustainable Properties Africa Conference & Exhibition)
13-14 June
Nairobi, Kenya
The inaugural SPACE event (Sustainable Properties Africa) will be held at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Upper Hill in Nairobi on 13-14 June 2017.
SPACE will attract an international audience of decision makers involved in real estate developments across the African continent. Currently, building “sustainably” is considered a costly process and, as a result, developments are bypassing opportunities to reduce operational costs and long-term value of projects. This short term thinking is not only damaging to the environment but will ultimately be damaging to the pocket as regulations are passed to incorporate sustainable building practices and also investors will look to have assets in their portfolio that have long-term value and higher margins.
SPACE is, in essence, an extension of the work that has already been carried out in the investment circles in Africa. The conference will focus on energy alternatives, water and waste management and build/material selection. Join us in Nairobi and hear from local developers and owners, investors, wider stakeholders such as architects and banks and those energy practitioners who can help aid the debate.
