The Vantage Data Centers New Albany Campus is a hyperscale data center development being developed in New Albany, Ohio, United States. The project is supported by an additional US$5 billion in green financing secured by Vantage Data Centers. Furthermore, it will be used to fund construction at the New Albany campus and to extend existing financing facilities for further data center development across North America. Following this financing, Vantage Data Centers has access to a total of approximately US$8 billion in funding to support its regional expansion and meet projected demand for hyperscale data center services.
Other than Vantage Data Centers, data centers across Ohio such as the Springfield data center facility in Prime Ohio Corporate Park are springing up based on recent surge in AI infrastructure.
Developers of the $1.3B Springfield data center facility in Ohio, 5C Group, have provided a green plan for the project. The site sustainability plan comes at a time when data centers are receiving major backlashes and opposition for hoarding resources. Many communities in the U.S. note that commercial-scale data centers are becoming notorious for their high consumption of resources. These mainly include water and electricity.
However, 5C Group has noted that it has a game plan on the project located at Prime Ohio corporate park. “We support a greener future for AI through innovative and environmentally conscious data center and compute AI infrastructure solutions,” they noted in their website. Moreover, it notes that it will source at least 30% of its power from wind, solar and/or nuclear power generating facilities.

Ohio Campus to Deliver Massive Capacity by 2025
A significant portion of the funding, $2.25 billion, has been dedicated to fully fund Vantage’s ambitious New Albany campus. Located just outside Columbus, this 70-acre site is set to house three large-scale data centers with a combined capacity of 192 megawatts and 1.5 million square feet of space. The first of these facilities is scheduled to go online by December 2025, reinforcing Vantage’s commitment to delivering high-performance digital infrastructure at scale.
Strengthening Vantage Data Centers North American Expansion
Alongside the Ohio project, Vantage also expanded an existing green corporate credit facility by $2.75 billion, raising the total to $5.75 billion. This will allow the company to secure land and build future campuses across key North American markets. The transaction was backed by a strong banking syndicate, including Wells Fargo Securities, TD Securities, Truist Securities, and Scotiabank. These strategic partnerships reflect growing investor confidence in Vantage’s growth strategy and operational excellence.
