The 640 MW Yunlin Offshore Wind Farm has officially been inaugurated and is fully operational. Located in Taipei, the plant was announced operational by TotalEnergies and local officials. The Yunlin Offshore Wind Farm is generating renewable electricity at full capacity. Additionally, the project will power a total of 646,568 households with clean energy and will reduce CO2 emissions by 1,293,126 tonnes. Construction was completed in December 2024 after nearly 4 years of planning and building. Furthermore, it has been estimated that the total cost for the project was US$3 billion.
