Power generation is reportedly the main problem faced by the state from time to time. Currently, the government can generate only 350 MW while the requirement for electricity in the state is 650 MW. This, according to Tynsong, shows the huge deficit in the demand and supply of power in the country.

Moreover, the minister revealed that the government has been looking for ways and means for the possibility of transformation in the power sector. That according to him is the reason why the tie-up with the CPSU (Central Public Sector Undertaking) in the form of NEEPCO is very much needed.
