Aligned Data Centers has unveiled plans to construct a new data center campus in Mansfield, Texas, the DFW-03.
This will expand its footprint in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) Metro Area. Sitting on 27-acres of land, Aligned’s new Dallas-Fort Worth campus (DFW-03) is strategically placed to meet the regions’ increasing demand for AI, and cloud computing.
According to the leading tech infrastructure company, the new data center will be operational as soon as the end of the year (Q4 2025).
The new data center in Mansfield is set to revolutionize the landscape as the company boasts innovations in cooling technologies and 5,000+ MW of energy capacities. These will spearhead the revolution – with speed, scale, and quality at the forefront.
What’s the plan for Aligned’s new data center in Texas – The DFW-03
Aligned’s new data center in Mansfield, Texas, lying in the DFW-03 site, will greatly benefit from what the company has already set up. These include its modular infrastructure, the development of prefabricated components, and easy on-site deliveries. According to Aligned Data Centers, this favors sustainability and quality at the desired expense of high risk and cost.
Speaking of the mentioned revolution, Aligned has a line of highly commended air and liquid cooling technologies. These will help in the running of the data center and the management of the facility’s regulated internal environment. Also, according to the Alinged Data Centers, the two types of cooling systems can be used separately, interchangeably, or as a hybrid system. With the latter, supported densities can go past 350 kW – with speed, scale, and quality at the forefront.

The Dallas-Fort Worth ranks as the third-largest data center market globally – according to Cushman & Wakefield. This could be attributed to Texas’ self-contained power grid serving a single state. This is the only one in the U.S., and this saves on electricity costs per kW.
Also noteworthy is that Texas leads in decarbonization efforts in the U.S. This is according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration. This means more clean energy for the data center. This combination makes data center expansion projects like Aligned’s DFW-03 in Mansfield, Texas worthwhile.

Impact to the locals
Aligned Data Centers new data center in Texas will also serve the indirect customer. (This set benefits from the direct customers to the data center).
In partnership with the city of Mansfield, “Roots for Future Fund” will see to the planting of native tress in the local area. This will help in the usual ways trees help – shade, cleaner air quality, and sustainability!
Michael Evans, the city’s mayor made the following statement, “With the Roots for the Future Fund, the company is adding another stitch to the fabric of Mansfield as a neighbor and community leader.”
